ENGLISH :
We are happy to present UMA LAND, the 12th album from our friends from Tokyo, the Zoobombs. The band’s long-awaited return, nine years after their last release. Eleven new tracks of intense, bitter sweet psychedelic rock. It’s like if Miles Davis, Sun Ra and the Rolling Stones had written songs together in Japanese.
Led by the forever youthful duo of Don Matsuo (vocals, guitar) and Matta (keyboards), now joined by Reo Saigusa (bass) and Gak Ouchi (drums), the band has had countless transformations since its formation on a full-moon night in 1994. With an almost endless discography to explore and hundreds of shows across Australia, the United States, and Canada, it would take an entire book to capture the artistic project that is the Zoobombs.
The vinyl is an international co-release by P572 (Canada), ZBONS-SYA (Japan), and OUCH! (France). The artwork is by Matta, who has been drawing their mascot, Kumaku, every day since the ’90s. The music was recorded in Tokyo, mixed in Montreal and the record is entirely pressed, printed, and handcrafted in Québec. The official album launch (marking the band’s 1,000th concert) takes place on December 18, 2025, in Tokyo, coinciding with Keith Richards’ birthday. Coincidence?
