A key figure of the Bordeaux rock scene, Sol Hess was born in London in 1984. After having developed a passion for the 50’s rock n’ roll icons (Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison…) at a very early age, his first intuition is to study film directing, before fully focusing on music. Over the past ten years, Sol has frenziedly founded bands (Sweat Like An Ape!, Sol Hess & The Sympatik’s …), and now appears alone in these strange times on a first solo album recorded in the privacy of his small living room. A classical guitar and a haunting voice. It’s Cohen pop and Pulp sad.
